Healthy Dads, Healthy Kids: A Lifestyle Program

This article http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/826186 is a great introduction to a serious problem we face here in the United States.  With over 1/3 of our population obese and 69% categorized as overweight, we have to start making serious efforts to live the right lifestyle.  This study looks at the effect of assisting fathers in achieving personal weight-loss goals, which would then influence the lifestyle behaviors of their children.  

We need to remind ourselves that kids will do what they see their parents doing.  What better example can we set for them than by living a healthy lifestyle?  If parents are eating healthy, staying active, and making good decisions regarding wellness, our kids will naturally follow and we’ll be able to reverse this trend!
